FAQ

HOW DOES SIZING AND PLACEMENT WORK?
I will provide a minimum size for you on the day of our appointment. We will not be able to reduce the size of the minmum to ensure legibility of the tattoo over time. We can discuss suitable options for placement on the day of our appointment.

Can I Bring a friend to my appointment?
You can bring one person to accompany you, just please let me know in advance.

Do you do cover ups?
Yes. I will ask for a photo of the previous piece and we can discuss our options. Sometimes a laser tattoo removal session is suggested for darker/larger pieces.

Do you do tattoos on dark skin?
Yes, I tattoo all bodies/all skin types.

Do you use second skin bandages?
I will have this available, however I prefer to use traditional bandages on some pieces with lots of blackwork.

Do you do customs?
Yes! We will chat and decipher if I am the right artist for your vision.

Are you blood borne pathogen certified?
Yes.

What if I show up late to my appointment?
If you are over 20 min late to your appointment, our session will be cancelled and a new deposit will be required to rebook.

Can I get your artwork tattooed on me by someone else?
Please donโ€™t do this. I put a lot of work into designing my pieces so that I can have a memorable and unique experience with each of my clients.

AFTERCARE

Bandage:

Second skin: Leave it on for 2 to 5 days. Once you remove it, immediately begin your cleaning routine. To remove the second skin, remove in the shower while the water runs over it. Pull the bottom corner of the barrier downwards slowly, allowing it to release without damaging the tattoo.

Traditional bandage: Leave on for 4 hours after appointment. After that, remove the bandage and clean the tattoo. Once tha bandage is removed, let the tattoo breathe and dry out. AVoid re-wrapping it. Try to refrain from wearing tight clothing over your piece or sleeping on it.

CLEANING:

Wash your tattoo gently twice a day with a fragrance-free soap. Pat it dry with clean paper towels only. To avoid damage to the tattoo, do not itch it or pick at any scabs. Repeat this daily for 2 weeks after your appointment.

Moisturizing:

Do not moisturize your tattoo for the first week of healing. During this time, it is still an open wound and moisturizer can trap bacteria and cause infection. Wait until your tattoo is completely closed and visibly flaking to moisturize.

Once your tattoo is ready to be moisturized, use a light layer of non-scented moisturizer twice a day. Donโ€™t use petroleum jelly or oil to moisturize. Instead, use a non-scented lotion for sensitive skin, such as aquaphor or lubriderm.
